Getting the Grinder Out
« on: April 05, 2010, 07:18:00 PM »

I shot this little sow last month and
happen to have exactly 15lbs of venison left
from last fall. Hopefully will have some summer
sausage by the weekend.

Thanks guys, I was hunting in South Texas near Realitos with my son and a good friend(Lablover).
We hunted five days. Lablover and my son both shot Javies the first evening. I had several close encounters but had my opportunities cut short because of swirling winds.  I finally had a steady east wind the last evening when this sow came in about thirty minutes before dark. I waited for a eight yard shot with the vitals clearly visible though the cactus when I released. Can't wait to go back next year.
