Basket quiver by Pat B.
« on: April 10, 2010, 07:11:00 PM »
I had some basket making materials that I thought I was going to use but never got to. I thought there was enough to make a couiple quivers.I sent it to Pat B (Brennan) and he sent me this beauty back. Absolutely gorgeous quiver. Cherry bark inlay, adjustable strap, even the strap is beautiful, turket feathers. I love it!
Thanks Pat!  :bigsmyl:

Brian, I'm glad you like it. It was fun learning a new craft. I was pleased with how that quiver came out and glad it worked out for you.

Thanks everyone. This quiver for Brian was the third basket quiver I've made. My wife made baskets years ago so she gave me some pointers as I went along. Here are the first two I made.
The small one was the first and I set it up as a shoulder quiver mainly because of it's size. The larger one has a similar strap for a back quiver as the one I made for Brian.

The next one is the fourth one I made, after Brian's. I wanted to add something different after I figured out the weaving tension so the next two have the cherry bark accents. I centered the cherry bark weavers on this fourth one for a different look than Brian's.

I did end up buying more materials than what Brian sent me. What he sent will work in some situations but not necessarily on a regular basis. Now I have enough materials for more quivers. If any of you are going to the Tenn Classic, I'll have these there and possibly at the Hickory shoot also.
