AD Hammerhead flight
« on: April 10, 2010, 09:24:00 PM »
My Hammerheads kick left on impact with my foam turkey target at 15 yds.  How do I get them to stick in straight?  They are 30.5" with 200 gr. points.  Bow is a BW PSAX, 55# @ 29.5.  I shoot right handed, 3 5.5" shield cut feathers.  I have tried cock feather in and out, doesn't seem to change much. I know the foam might tilt them slightly on impact but I want to be sure the flight is perfect or nearly so. Also, it's pretty consistent and seems like they are a bit left when they hit. Thanks in advance!

Shoot it thru some paper, may tell tell you more. Try a softer sideplate?

What I find with AD's their spine doesn't equal to the same spine as a parallel carbon. But they do seem to fly good out of a lot of bows with their tapered design.I too would try a lighter point with your bow cut past center or you could try to build out the side plate alittle.

Thanks for all the help. Lowered my nock point to 5/8" above and all is well.  I had increased my brace height and the nock point was about 7/8" above.  Does that make sense that I would see the nock left impact with a nock point too high?
