any box call will work and are very easy to use. but there is not best, just good callers.
“instinctive archery” is more like playing the violin. Without practice you may remember the mechanics, but you will not be a virtuoso.

Easiest with good sound? A push button caller. My wife uses one, simple, effective. If you can make the "come here" sign with your index finger you can use that call.

The AWAY TURKEY TROOPER 2000 is my favotite pushbutton call and by far the easiest for the novice to use. My wife used one to call in and kill her first turkey ever. It makes great clucks, purrs, and yelps.  :)

Every turkey hunter needs a call they can use discreetly, when the birds are closing in.  A mouth call or the "one finger" push-button call Mickey mentioned works great.

Don't be afraid of, or give up on, the mouth calls.  We all spend lots of time in our cars, which is a great time to practice with the mouth call, and no one is going to laugh at you... if you're alone!

When you're set up in the woods and you use both, you can mimic a little "turkey commotion action" by using both at once with minimal movement.

I like Knight and Hales old yeller with there power peg. It can be used in any weather and is a simple call to learn with, it's broad range of volume and pitch make it my favorite call.
