Dixie Bowmen

Was told by the guys at Dixie Bowmen in Disputanta, Va. that I should get on here & get to know every one.
Well I've been shooting for around 30 years, started out with a Bear Grizly back in 79' & was turned to the training wheels in 86'.
Kept with my recurve but not as much as I should have till late 08' when I said I had enough with all that gadgetry & started back from scratch re-learning what I had forgotten those many years ago.
I know I still have a lot to learn but I'm having the best time in my life with my recurves & maybe one day with a long bow.
So Howdy from Locust Grove, Va.

Welcome Eugene-from the Valley. Hope to meet up with you at some of the "local" shoots. Enjoy and this is a fine site for stick shooters. Never alone here.

Welcome to the sight. Next time I'm at Dixie I'll look you up. Glad to meet a fellow Trad. Just finished a shoot at Kingsboro Sunday. Maybe you could get to the shoot this coming weekend (Tidewater Bowhunter Association) at Newport News Park resevoir, then there's another shoot the following weekend and White Oaks off of Rt. 17

Nice to meet you and your little girl this weekend. Hope you enjoyed the shoot. I'm sure we will be seeing you at many more.

Eugene,
It was good to meet ya this weekend.
Dixie is a good place to shoot, but ya gotta watch out for the Cool Springs Gang. Yup, rif raf ya know.
I assume you know, but if you don't... the Reinhart shoot at the end of May (Stanton), and the Roanoke Shoot (STAR) is the first week in June.

Welcome aboard Eugene. As a native Virginian I speak your language even though I now have a Texas tang. This is a great site, with great people. Have fun.

Welcome Eugene. My hunting spot is just North of Locust Grove along the Rapidan River. It's 150 acres that belongs to a buddy of mine. He only allows bowhunting, but I'm the only one of the group that shoots trad.
Oh yea, what they said above about Baltimore. I have been the last 3 years and really like it - just pick a day when it doesn't look like it will rain.
