I had that rack on a 06 wr450. They are pretty sweet racks and can haddle heavy loads. ... Man I need to get another dual sport!

Hey Tim....I had 14 things to do that weekend. I was going down but I changed my mind at the last minute. I have gone to Whittingham for the last 3 or four years.

I rode my old '79 Suzuki GS550L to the Whittingham. I took my Zipper 3pc LB, so it strapped down easy in a case. I did get a lot of second looks on the road though at my side stalker quiver full of very bright fletching bungeed to the side of my pack. It's got a back-rest with luggage rack so I can strap a bunch of gear on it. I will have my '78 GS750 ready for Denton Hill, along with a small trailer. I gave-up on cars last year and only ride bikes now.

My takedown recurve fits in the trunk on my 98 Goldwing.  I bungee the arrows to my trunk rack and I am off to the shoots!

I'm not sure if it looks like some BA exhaust or an anti-tailgater device (bazooka)

I have that same rack. Its great. It was designed to haul Elk quarters out the back woods.

Will the heat from the exhaust pipes be a problem? Both rigs seem to have the bow pretty close to the engine and exhaust. YOu can get a pretty bad burn on those things if you touch them.
The PVC tube keeps sounding better and better.

Rack is made by  http://www.cycleracks.com/
I haven’t tried any bow mounting on mine. Currently just used as a commuter. I do have a takedown longbow if I did want to travel with. Shouldn’t be an issue to lash it down on the rack or on top of the luggage
