How about THIS crew...

Top right for Jim, you may know two of the other three.  If you can name the fourth guy, I'll give you a gold star   :D

Since my first name is Tim, I think it would be fun to meet Jim and see if we happen to be related. Of course we are in some fashion if you go back far enough ..... read my sig  ;)

Sloan was quiet a 'fan' of traditional archery--I really remember an article he wrote one time about his experience at Cloverdale.

Jim Dougherty's back page is about the only readable portion of Peterson's Bowhunting.  They just published a collection of them.  He has had a bout with cancer lately.

I have a picture of him and I when I was about eleven. The guy who got me into bowhunting took me down to his shop in Tulsa and we got to hang out with him for a day. Jim also opened up a archery shop in Ponca City, Oklahoma and the same guy ran the shop for Jim. I don't know how to get that picture onto here. I will ask the wife.

Twosheds-
When did he have a shop in Ponca City?  I lived down there around '85.  Bought by first grunt call (still have it some where too) when I visited Jim's shop one day that year around my birthday when my folks took me to Tulsa.
