She May be a Raisin But.......
« on: May 07, 2010, 11:27:00 PM »
She sure ain't no prune! This little River Raisin is extremely quiet with no string silencers at all. Never heard of this bow but, I picked it up thinking I would use it as a stumpin' and dragging through the woods bow, and now I'm earning a little more respect for her. 64", and 54# @ my 29" draw she really packs a wallup! I was having trouble getting used to it at first but, I think I'm starting to get the hang of her.    :archer:

Congrats

Wow, my specs...
But she sure looks happy at your full draw. Happy shooting!

The amazing thing about this bow (once I got used to how to hold it) is that, it is the first bow I've owned that I didn't have to put string silencer on. Still am impressed by that I guess.   :D

Thanks Gene! The more I shoot it and get familiar with it, the more I'm really liking it. I spent about two hours shooting it and playing around with how I hold it. Really loves my EL 2018's. Might just get me a set made up specifically for this bow. Can't say thanks enough!   :notworthy:

From the side, it looks very much like my Green Mountain Stingray. Also a forward handle bow.

Tom builds great bows. I now have 4 of them 2 64" longbows and 2 three piece takedowns. If you ever get a chance try shooting one of his 3 piece takedowns they are super fast and hard hitting
