Youth arrows usually one spine?
« on: May 17, 2010, 06:31:00 PM »
Why do youth arrows, such as Goldtip Falcons only come in a spine like .480? Seems awful stiff for kid's bows. Is it cause they work fine on cheap target bows?

There are all kinds of arrows for kids.depending on the weight of the bow.For small kids(7-12) you can get Easton 1716 platinum,Scout,XX75's,and various woods.I like the woods for ages less than 7 it's lighter and cheaper. And they also make some carbons for kids.I would check a local archery shop or search the web,and try Easton web site.   :archer:

I make woodies for my grandchildren out of 1/4" cedar.  They are too short to spine so I don't know what they are.  They fly like rockets.  The older grandson I made 5/16" shafts spined 30-35# and they also fly well out of a 30# bow.

Yeah, I was just wondering about so-called youth arrows. Just curiosity.
