Morrison ILF Riser Pics Needed
« on: May 20, 2010, 10:53:00 PM »
Hey guys, I have a Morrison ILF getting built, and have noticed some of the newer ones mostly have black at the front of the riser.  What I am looking for is pics of Morrison Ilf with a two wood flare.  I haven't seen a riser with the black in front plus two wood flare.  Just wandering how this would look.  It may be too much or maybe not.  Any pics would be appreciated.

Here is one I have bought earlier this year.

Thanks for the pics Bob, I am glad that I spoke for this riser before somebody else started hounding you about it.  By the way, this is Tom.  I can't wait to get this one in my hands.

V-Archer, thanks for the pic.  I had Bob building me the riser below, but didn't get my pic until today.  I was afraid that the two three color wood might clash, but am plesently surprised.  Now the 4-5 day wait begins.  What to do until it gets here?  How do you like the pine cone?  That end up being my next add.  Bob
is putting finger grooves in it before he matte finishes it.

Someone asked for a pic of burl cocabola on another post.  This one is burl cocabola with same wood flare, and curly maple accent.  I will post a pic when I get it together.  I have a set of carbon foam copperhead limbs that I just got from Bob.  They will look sweet with the curly maple accent.

Looks good Tom! I have two ILF risers from Bob, a 15" and 17".

I'll be suprised if you don't like it.

Tom,

I always wanted to have a wooden riser with ILF mounts. This one came by in the classifieds so I bought it. The cone on the grip came with it and for me it's no problem handling the bow. In the beginning you feel it but you will get used to it (that's my experience). Bob made me carbon foam limbs with a cottonmouth snakeskin backing.
This is the complete bow:

Arnold, those Cottonmouhs are amazing.  I have several skins, but nothing with those type pattern shapes.

Nice looking riser. I asked about the burl cocobolo. That is an amazing looking wood. I'm sure you'll be pleased.
