New Lone Wolf hang on stand?
« on: May 04, 2007, 06:51:00 AM »
I got a Cabela's archery catalog in the mail yesterday, and I noticed that Lone Wolf has a new hang on stand.
Called the "Elite" (I think), it has a bigger platform, and a nicer seat.

It looks good, and I'm interested, but this model is not on their web site.

Anyone seen one, or used one?  Any info?
Thanks.

Looks like they also have a mini platform with a sling seat.  Got one of their climbers, best climber I've used.

I saw the elite too.  Looks awesome.  I saw the alpha at cabelas a few days ago and must say I was impressed with the adjustablity.  Also like the v-bar and cast platform set-up with two straps.  Must be rock solid.

The bigger platform is just a plus !

yep, I have pretty much settled on the LW hang on for this fall, but seeing this new Elite has clinched the deal: a bit bigger platform, AND a more comfortable looking seat? Perfect!

You can't go wrong with any of there products. I have an alpha, and an assault hangon. Had a climber but prefer hangons with the sticks. The elite looks big enough to put a recliner on it.

I don't like the new designed seat compared to the old one. The new one makes noise when you move around on the seat. The new seat is adjustable, and that is making the noise. My buddy noticed it also on his. The new seat is more comfortable though.

I just bought the Alpha. They didn't have the Elite but I am thinking maybe I made the right decision as the Elite is 8lbs heavier. It is not as though you can go for a stroll with a bigger platform anyway. I can add my gorilla seat on top of the Alpha to make it more comfortable. Thoughts? Anyone actually used them both? Thanks!

I have used a gorilla seat on my alpha  worked great and alot more comfortable than the piece of foam LW used on the older ones.. The gorilla slips over the LW seat frame perfectly

So you didn't just put it on top? Does the Alpha come with a new seat? What do you think of the extra weight but more platform area of the Elite? Would you still favor the Alpha?
Thanks,
