thanks for the nice comments, It is rare to have a perfect robinhood but to have one with bare shafts is really odd and rare..Last year I ordered the Binghams plans and DVD for their one piece recurve, I also spent many many hours researching bow building on the internet..The bow in the pic was the 2nd bow I built, 50# @ 28inches .. it has a Dymondwood riser,an actionboo taper, 040 clear glass and two 030 black walnut parallels. Bow #1 is 54# @ 28inches has cocobolo dymondwood riser, cocobolo veneers and a amberboo taper..2 deer and 2 hogs were taken cleanly with this bow..I pulled back and let down on a bunch more, had to leave some for Helen to take...I am starting bow #9 this week, it will have s-glass and red elm limbs, a bunch of glass and dymondwood will go in the riser for mass weight..I may send it to Big Jim for a camo dip or Spray paint it flat black and redneck camo paint it..I started building longbows in March of this year, kennym sent me a template of his design and some instructions.
