Anyone here remember Dick Palmer from Arkansas?  I have one of his bows and shot with him when I was in college.  I thought he was amazing shooting disk out of the air with a longbow.

I've visited Dick Palmer's archery shop in Fayetteville three times over the years. I haven't seen him shoot yet. He was a competitive bodybuilder and weight lifter. He said he stopped shooting heavy longbows after he was in a car accident & hurt his back. Mr. Palmer also told me he was once offered a job by Bob Markworth to stand in for him in some of his trick shooting bookings. Dick Palmer's archery shop had a barber chair & he had a health food/oriental medicine business upstairs. He even practiced hypnotism. A very interesting man to visit. Clint

Talked and shot with  him many times in the 70s when he was in NY before he moved south.  He wrote an article( dont remember what archery magaizine it was ) on shoting a deer with his 103# long bow. I got to shoot that a few shots at the PA bow hunters festival one year ( killed my shoulder)
He was a very nice guy. Lost track when he mioved south.

Clint, you nailed him.  Definetly the right guy.  I bought a #60 pound recurve called a brush bow from him in early 90's.  I still have the bow.  He also got me interested in Hog hunting with his stories of hunting with a longbow. I still have the arrows he made me also. Great guy.  Thanks
