Hot melt allows you to adjust the point to be sure you get it on straight. Epoxy will work, of course, but if you don't get the point on the adapter straight, you're pretty much stuck with it.

i think hot melt is best for the reason stated above, but in a pinch, you could use two part epoxy, gorilla glue, or jb weld.

I like jb weld. Slow set up allows for enough time to get it straight.

You have to heat hot-melt with a flame to get it hot enough to loosen a point. Don't worry about it.

Hot melt works great for me. Just make sure the adaptor and broadhead are cleaned good.

Huh. Never heard of using JB-Weld. That would definitely be permanent. Heat will release epoxy but not JB-Weld.

I happen to use hot glue. I usually get 'em staight with an aluminum shaft before I put them on my carbons. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO DO WHATEVER KIND OF GLUE YOU USE is to clean out the broadhead with acetone and a cotton swab. The swab will come out black with oil from the machining process. Pretty hard to get glue to stick to oil.

I should have added this to that post. Use acetone to clean the adaptor, because it can have oils from the human hand.

You've got to be able to adjust the broadhead so it will be properly seated in relation to your arrow shaft. For me (and others, it seems) hot melt is best for this purpose. Also, this allows you to recycle either BH or adapter should one or the other be damaged. Cost is an issue with these being pretty pricey these days. And DO clean both the adapter and the inside of the BH with either acetone or denatured alcohol before gluing.
