Red Neck Bowfishing lights
« on: June 05, 2010, 09:26:00 PM »
I was at Gander Mtn. a few weeks ago looking at spotlights and the guy who works in bow repair told me he uses a Coleman lantern with a tin foil reflector to light up the area for bow fishing at night. Has any other tradgangers used this idea and some posted pictures of you outfit would be nice. I have two lanterns and I would love make one for my canoe.

ive gigged with a lantern, have shot frogs with them just not fish yet..dont know if it would penetrate the water deep enough..when we gigged sucker we would hit the shallow water below below the dams and and walk the shallower water.,.i heard there are lights by hawglight and another that are small and are very bright
if we are not suppose to eat animals, then why are they made of meat

They make a reflector that bolts on to the Coleman.

there is also a company that makes the same style reflector for a Petromax if you have one of them.
