Shooting glove break-in?

I want to treat my tight fitting glove to get it loosened up and stretch some.  The glove leather is plenty soft.  I just need it to expand the stalls so I can curl my fingers for a good deep hook.

What do you put on your gloves to do this and where do you get it?  I found some standard ball glove stuff at the sporting goods store with lanolin in it, but is there something better for this?

I stuffed some 3 1/2" 12 gauge shotgun shells into the finger stalls of my glove and let it sit for a few days.  Loosed it up to the point that it now fits like a ..., well, you know.

I wet mine and wear till dry, while working outside is best.  

I think I set a few fence posts and such this last one.  Then once it fits, shoot it in.

I second the wetting it with water then shooting it, followed with a leather moisturizer.

get an American Leather glove.  No break in needed.

I use the 3 rivers dura glove, they fit like they are broke in when new.

I shoot a Damascus glove, which doesn't need much breaking in to begin with.  But, I actually buy a smaller glove (medium) and wet it down and wear it till dry.  Pretty tight to begin with but stretches nicely.

That is what I have.  It is really tight on the fingers.  I usually take a medium shooting glove and tab, but this one I may need a large.  I just don't know yet.

Great Idea.  I don't know about 3 1/2".  I have some empies.  I have a pile of 3" and they will work.  I have deep sockets in them right now.  I will have to see where 12 ga. fits into the socket sizes.

So will getting it wet make it stretch or shrink?  I can get my fingers in ok now, but can't get a good hook at all.  I can get very little bend on the first joint, and I like to get my fingers pointed back at me a good amount.

Wetting will limber the leather up so it will move well and form to your mitts.

I use a deer skin glove and have never needed to condition it.
