So this is what its like
« on: June 11, 2010, 07:57:00 PM »
I've always purchased my bows from the rack, usually after much admiring and test shooting,so by the time I got them home I was rather well acquainted with them. I now find my self in an uneasey position. I'm pacing the floor and checking my email and pm's. I can't seem to sit still. I go out and shoot my other bows but none of them seem to pacify me.This must be what everyone was talking about with all of the various "Waiting on a new bow posts". What do you all do to help the time pass. And for those of you who may ask what bow, its the one and only "Faith"

Art, I try and occupy my mind with the upcoming hunting season and figuring out what will go best with the new bow coming. Eventually that stops working and I end up pacing the floor by my work bench anyway!   :rolleyes:  Congratulations on your purchase and be sure to post shooting pics.   :thumbsup:

Just don't worry about it.  If he told you you'd have it by hunting season, make other plans.  Don't think I've ever had one on time.  I do order wierd stuff.

That's MISS Faith.
And a grand bow you will be getting. She'll be here before you know it. It isn't as if you had ordered a bow and now had a fourteen month wait.

I would look to your arrow stash, and see what might be in her range, and see that they are in good order. Look to your strings, too, to see if you have a couple that might fit her. Could be that what she is wearing now won't fit your nocks, and having one of your "regular" strings of the right length will get you shooting right away, instead of having to make or order one.

Prepare a place for her to rest.
Be well rested when she arrives.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

It seem like I always have one coming. When one comes put another one on order that lets you play with one while waiting for the next. But I am fairly new to trad less than 2 years. So I don't have tooo many bows yet besides they don't take up as much room wheel bows.
