A Hunter Orange Bow? - A toddler and his bow
«

Evan will be three in August. We made his bow together last month and I finally got a pic of him with it. We're still working on the matching orange (his favorite color) arrows.
The 'points' on the arrows are a finish nail in the tip with the head cut off. It sticks out just enough to pop the ballons.

That's sweet man he'll cherrish it for a long time & starting him that young will surly make for a shooting/hunting partner in the future.
I have my 3 year old shooting a lil Barnett long bow that originally had those suction cup arrows, I use some of Erin's arrows for Katherine.

I started all my boys at 3-4 on a elm selfbow I built for them. Now those bows are being handed down to grandchildren. I have a 5 yo granddaughter who would rather shoot her bow than anything else. So the fun never stops once you get the ball rolling have fun with your boy.

Well, Evan broke his bow tonight. He's been doing real well with it and the night started with me just helping hold the bow on target... the little guy was doing everything else himself. I guess he got a little excited and tried a new anchor out past his opposite shoulder!
Time to go find a good hickory board and make him something a little longer!
