With the little one around (I cannot believe he'll be 1 in a month!) and my wife home taking care of him, money has gotten super tight for us. As such, I've sold so much stuff and am down to the very basics... which I actually like. That said it has lit the spark in me to build a longbow this summer and my own leather bow quiver. Tony Semenuk from White Wolf Custom Bows (one of our distinguished sponsors) has generously offer me the use of his workshop and forms to build my longbow and is charging me only the cost of materials!! I cannot say enough good things about Tony and recommend checking out his bows too, they are top notch. So with help from Tony, I should have my bow done in July... but I want to build a leather bow quiver for it as well. I drew up some patterns and modeled the Great Northern design, but I am not sure if I am doing this right. I also am steeling the arrow grippers from my old compound quiver and plan to use a zip tie layered between a strip of leather and a strip of tacky rubber for the grippers on the bow. Does anyone have any suggestions on design, parts, etc... ??
Thanks!
