Pins would be cool. Something like a large tie tack to wear or mount. There is a guy in Valrico, Fl just east of Tampa who has a laser engraving machine. He claims he can laser etch/engrave any material. I've seen some of his work at gun shows and it does look nice.

I used to shoot a lot of tournaments and one particular club gave away one ounce silver ingots or coins. I have no idea where they obtained them. These were soooo much better than a trophy that would set around gathering dust.

Wildlife or Native American (Indian) collector plates (inscribe frame or holder?), carved duck decoys, really fancy wooden arrows, autographed (or not) hardcover bowhunting/archery books.
Last three items can be inscribed directly.
Have them on a table and let the person choose what he prefers.

Bill: I like the idea of the Silver coins as well. Was the club you're talking about by any chance 7-Oaks in SW Wisconsin? I have 11 Silver (first place) coins from them from shoots in the 90s. I've donated or tossed most of the other trophies I've won over the years. The coins I can turn into money. I like that idea.

One more time to the top of the list and now I'll start putting together some ideas about what we want to do. Thanks to everyone for the responses!

These painted feathers were given out at ATAR one year. That was a lot of work, but I thought they were awesome. Wish I could shoot better.
I like the idea of coins or medals hanging from a quiver. Pins in my hat get stuck in my hair, or the back pokes into my noggin.

My friend in Austria gave out trophies made from a forked tree branch mounted to a base with an arrow cut down to about 8" that was stuck through the branch via a drilled hole. The point was glued after putting it through the branch.
An antique looking bronze medal was hanging from a nail below the arrow.
Hard to describe but was easy to make and looked cool.

A new club here is sponsoring a shoot in July and I think the pins idea is one I'll float. "Archery Bling" - We all need a little "bling" in our lives!

I used to make wooden broadhead trophies for our club. Pretty easy to make with a table saw and router and a few jigs I made. They were about 11" long and shaped like a Magnus II with vents, stained and a couple of coats of poly. Also attached small engraved plates to the ferrule area with 1st,2nd or 3rd and the name of the bow category.
