Hi Guys,
I won some Graphlex XT 19-12 arrows on the St.Jude auction and need to set them up.
I shoot a Hill Tembo 70@31 and the arrows will have 260gr heads(160gr heads and 100gr adapter).I normally shoot wood only,But I want to try these.I will have 5" traditional cut left wing feathers on it.I dont know jack about graphite arrows so any help would be great. Thanks Tim

From what I gather you have some vintage arrows from the 80's. A poor way to learn about carbon arrows IMHO. Bare shafting is the best way to set them up or shoot through paper. Go to AD Adcock's site for good info.

I don't recall the spine, here's some info on the shafts. I would inspect the shafts very carfully before shooting.

Thomas, I have used the newer carbon with my wheels.Never did graphite.
Paul, thanks for the info. They seem to be in great shape, pretty solid arrow from what I can tell.

I have some of the Graphlex shafts. They're heavy...the 19-12's are 14.1gr/inch and have a .210 deflection at 26" centers. Finished weight on a 32" arrow should be around 720gr. They're comparable to a 2317 aluminum. At 32" with that much weight up front, you'd probably get them to tune. They make a great hunting shaft but I wouldn't use them for stumping...just not as durable as a carbon
