Cottonwood, I just read your post on Matt's thread, very nice. Your bow looks great, love the wood combo. I wanted a dark bow this time, but I'm a grain freak also and I hoped to get both with the Curly Maple. I'm very pleased with how it came out. As you can see in my pics he used your Logo and it looks awesome, I think it adds a very classy touch to a classy bow.
Thanks for all the nice comments on the bow guys.

DannyBows - That's one of the most beautiful bows I've ever seen posted here! Great character in the riser, yet still simple elegance.  Lot's of guys go for all the fancy exotic woods, but in my opinion, none of them compare to curly maple.

You guys aren't very nice!

I keep coming back here to look and... dang it I was set for life with my two Hills and "Vango" Mohawk classic.

I've tried, I mean I've really tried but I had to send Nathan an e-mail and my last e-mail was to tell him that I think we needed to speak person to person.

See what you've done!!

God bless,Mudd

You need to add an "s" to "last".....

jsweka, Curly Maple and Bocote have always been two of my favorite woods, but I can't take credit for how they are used in this bow. Nathan had some pics of some of his bows and this one just grabbed me. I simply asked him for one like it stained a little dark. Everything in the bow just compliments everything else. You said it perfectly, Thanks.
Gil, you're right about the take-down system. It's solid. If my Spike had been built like this, it would still be around.

RN,

I just got my new Bama Bow with a dished grip. (Light weight 73# at 28").

I have only had time to shot 5 arrows thru it (work has been a b**ch).

It was almost completely dark. I had just strung it up to 7 inch brace ht. I did not have a noch on the string. I was shooting split finger. Normally, I shoot 3 under.

Anyway, I never really saw the arrows fly, too dark and not enough light from the back porch. But, they all sounded real good.

I walked up to my target and from 20 yds I had an 8" group.

Again, I never set a noch on my string, guessed at the brace ht, shot split finger from 20 yrds. WOW!

This weekend, I will set my noch on the string, go three under and I bet I will have a fantstic grouping.
