Bowfroggin

Went out with my new bow Miss Faith this weekend to get to know her. We started our trip at EE Wilson wildlife refugee with some frog hunting. This is the entrance to good times                      Part of the walk   Found this little guy doing his own frog hunting This one was trying to take it away, it was quite a fight but the original owner got to keep it This is not a great pic but this frog got a pass due to the unethical nature of the shot. He kept hiding behind the little turtle useing him has a shield This one did not get a pass And finally the "hero" shot Only ended up with the one, guess its a good thing that Roth's sells frog legs in the meat department else the kids would be fighting over it. All said and done I had a great time and got lots of shots (and misses)I did manage to collect some cattail roots and pollen to go with the legs( they don't move as quick)

I spent last sunday morning with my son in law casing frogs in Stewart state forest.Three hours of mud ,bugs and stanky water yeilded a few shots and one frog.I got home and reached into my pocket and pulled out my dead frog for my wife to see.She had the nerve to call me a hillbilly.I said thanks.Cant wait to go again.glen

One of the most fond recent memories I have was w/ a local police officer who had "permission" to gig frogs @ a local golf course.  His 10 y/o son did all the spearing, but if they glided off the bank, I got to fling an arrow.  I only took home two, but had a blast.  Some darn good eatin' too!

Glen, Newburgh has some big woods, I fell in some of the stank you are talking about looking for pheasant a few years back. I managed to only find a grenade that hadn't gone off even though the pin was gone.  First thought was to pick it up my buddy had a better first thought and that was to well, leave it  alone you idiot.   :knothead:

Good shooting Art!  Glad to see Ms Faith found a great home.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Glen, at least she looked at your frog and gave you a compliment. Mine has recently been converted to the darkside(vegitarianism) and won't even look at my posting pics, not to mention what she calls me   . Its ok though the kids are still with me in the meat eating department
