my house
« on: July 03, 2010, 05:03:00 PM »
i was sitting here listening to a song by miranda lambert titled 'the house that built me'i was thinking about what kind of a person i was before and what i have become.i was a user of women,a drinker, never cared about anyone but myself.then i found traditional archery.then i found tradgang.i completely get it now,the meaning of life.then my little grandaughter came screaming up the stairs yelling ''gampa''gampa''.i literally broke down and tears ran down my face freely.i get it now.this meaning of life.i urge every one of you to tell us about your house.my house is tradgang and you are all my family now.thank you for creating this site terry.there is always an empty seat in my camp just waiting for you.   :notworthy:

I love tradgang and i love what Terry and the guys/girls have helped me to learn here as far as traditional archery goes. As far as my spiritual well being, this place didn't have a whole lot to do with that.     :)   i was who i was before i came here.

although i am not religous i do believe in a higher power.there has to be something as i literally should have been dead three times in my lifetime.in 1979 i was run over by a 5 ton john deere tractor lengthwise up my body on a gravel road.walked away.1989 i slid off a coastal road in oregon 90ft straight down to the beach.walked away.1995 i was in a passenger in my buddies pickup when another fullsize pickup came around a corner doing roughly 60mph we were doing at least that, hit head on no skidmarks.walked away.survived brutal beatings by my own father trying to defend my mother as he beat her just because he felt like it when he was drunk.when you find peace and solice in something you'd better hang on with both hands and never let go.i find peace here on tradgang.this is where i run when things are getting to me.felix..i'm proud to share elk camp with ya brother.joe d will be there with us also.just sad carl cannot come this year.will be a hoot though i can promise you that much.
