Lowest Arrow GPI to Spine
« on: July 07, 2010, 07:22:00 PM »
Even though I'm quite found of my AD Trad Lites, I find myself spending quite a bit of time experimenting with Stu's calculator.

The heaviest front end load with the lowest GPI to Spine ratio is paramount in order to achieve greater FOC w/o having to use footings.

What are the lowest arrow GPI to Spine ratios available?

Easton flatlines  they are 340 spine  and 8.2 gpi.  With 100 grain brass insert  and 300 grain head Im getting 32+ foc total arrow weight is at 670 grains using a 60# curve they shoot very well.

Just looking at CE.  Their Maxima is 0.345 and 8.2.  On the next page I saw the Piledriver 0.300 and 13.6.  WOW that's a heavy arrow.  Wonder how it compares to Grizzlystiks?

I had a half dozen of the Rebel Hunters which were replaced by the Pile Drivers and they were heavy hitters.  The built in weight forward is a farce though, it is just the camo paint on the first 2/3 of the shaft.  It does about as much for foc as switching to broadheads that are 20 grains heavier.

Victory V-Force shafts with a spine from 300 to 400 are 6.9 for the 300, 6.4 for the 350 and 6.1 for the 400. they are the lighest spine to weight ratio I have found yet.

If you like the trad lites get some of the AD Nitro-stinger lites (yellow label). They are the same spine as the trad lites but they are only 6.7gpi while the trad lites are 9.5gpi
