OUTSTANDING  job on that old Grizzly. The only downside is that is has aluminum in the limbs as I am sure you could shoot it otherwise.  That is going to make a great wall hanger with tons of memories. You are lucky to have the bow to pass on to your kids.

My brother passed away this spring and his son stopped by and gave me his two grizzly's.  One newer one and one that looks just like yours without the metal in the limbs.  Wondering if you can shoot those old static recurves?

How very cool is this? Way!! I'd say!!

I think I'd have to take the risk and go for one more deer with it. Then if I were successful, it would go on the wall.

Here's why I came to this conclusion. I believe your grandfather would approve. Being the hunter he was I'd bet that he'd relish the thought that if his old bow went down doing what he loved, it would be ok with him. It can always be put on the wall even as a broken warrior.

My 2 cents worth!

Congratulations!

I can sure appreciate the "magic" that happened here.

God bless,Mudd
