Yes Mike, They are trapped to the back(as they say).Have you noticed that it likes a heavy arrow?
Lamey, That is what I wanted when I designed this bow in 2002. A classic "D" profile when strung and the attributes of reflex/deflex. After some growth over the years I really am happy with it.

Nice looking bow!
I thought the string looked familiar too.   ;)
Just one more step please!

Thanks Arwin.
As far as the string goes, it is good. Josh(oliverstacy) does a bang up job,I get 10 strand D97 with halo serving and padded loops. Josh gets pretty exacto with getting me the length I want all pre-streched and twisted just right. I put them on and shoot a couple hands full of arrows and set the brace and she stays put. I need to check my stash. I may need to get my order in, I will have a tamo ash and a curly myrtle coming up as well as a couple others.Josh, You off vacation yet?

hey chuck just saw your post here are some pics of my ambush.  I wore out my block target with it! (first time using photo bucket so this may not work)

Here is a pic of the bow, and the very first arrow i have ever made!

Here is the best shooting i did all weekend at comptons

This was the night i came back from comptons.

And because i was so inspired by my ambush and the osage in it here is the knife i made to match it

Great looking bow Owlbait, like the lines and that nice little thumb rest too!

Sean

I to have an Ambush, and I must agree it is one sweet shooting little bow.  I shot up at the range tonight with it, and the other trad guys could not get over how quick and quiet it was, just wish I could shoot it as good as you!~

Owlbait,

They sure are.  I'm adding the longwalker to my wish list.

Over&Under,

I was in awe when i shot my friend's (Doug G) ambush (and quite a bit jealous as i was at the auction he got it from!). When we ran into Chuck at comptons, and he said he had one, i was determined to buy that bow! Which i did with a short term loan from Doug G.

Thats cool Sean, He won't tell you but he only owned that bow for about 2hrs. when he shot the centers out of them three clay birds. Thanks for posting the pics Sean, You sure seem to have the knack for shooting it. I have some pictures of Over&under's and Seans Ambush bows, Anybody want to see em?
