What a helpful thread this is. Along about this time every year I come in from shooting my bow in the 100 degree temps here in North TX, turn the air conditioner on full blast, and watch a little of the British Open. That Scotland weather is usually cool, rainy, windy, gray skies, etc. and seeing it is a promise of Fall for me. Have done that for years now, and it jump starts me into thinking and planning for our October 1st whitetail opener here in TX. Now I hear this year Scotland has had North TX Summer weather, with highs expected around 100! Good timing on this thread, you can't read through it and not get pumped for the Fall, thanks for all the good ideas.
