Got some woodies for my Selfbow
« on: July 12, 2010, 08:48:00 AM »
The arrows are made of cedar and spined 45-50#, and are they ever sweet looking, and with the Zwickey Eskimo 125 gr glue on broadhead they weigh in right at 495 gr total.  We thought with the 45# Selfbow, that I might use a 145 gr or 150 gr but I will see how these fly with the 125 gr BH's on them.

Thought I would post some pics of these, as these tested so nicely, and flew like a bee straight to honey.

Good looking arrows there Cottonwood. I like the look of the sinew wrap to hold fletchings on. Good looking bow as well.

Nice arrows for your selfbow. The self nocks and wrapped fletching look very nice too.

Joe

I did not make the arrows, but a buddy of mine did that makes them for  http://www.medievalfantasiesco.com/Arms.htm

Derek does an awesome job with his creations as well as his traditional art work.

Almost is right, but I shot one to test for flight with the Zwickey broadhead.... like a dart she flies.

Even though these were free demo's for me, I'm going to order more from him.  Actually I'm watching the video's that he created to learn something about these.

Here are some How To Video's that my arrowsmith has made:
