Beautiful!  I was blessed to be able to go to Norway with my unit in the late 70's & spent a month jumping and doing the G.I. thing there.  Also got to spend a few days in Oslo & met lots of folks.  Found everyone to be really nice & well-educated (& the girls were SO pretty!!).  Very clean country, folks there take pride in where they live.  Great place, at least in late August; not sure about January unless you really like winter sports.  But it seems the gov't there has it bass-ackwards: guns are OK but not bows?
Thanks, Margly

Thank you for posting your pictures and comments. It was relaxing just to look at your photos, so I can't imagine just how nice it was to be there in person. Wonderful photos. Nice camp. Very, very nice trout. Yum!

Snakke tysk?

Makes me wanna go back, hitch hiked to the northcap in 08 and took 4 weeks walking through the mountains between Trondheim and Kristiansand. The most beautiful landscape it is for sure! Though, all trout i caught were never over 1.5 pound.

Skal!

Now let’s see, this year on TG I’ve been to Australia, Africa, South America, Europe, Asia, lots of North America places, … come on, someone go take a bow to Antarctica and report back to us, and that will about cover our big, blue marble! Margly, it is totally cool to hear from you bowhunters from across distant waters. That camp with fresh caught fish and coffee would set well with us Tradgangers no matter where it is. Those Norway photos are sure some beautiful country Margly, and glad you got to share it with your wife, daughters, and now us. Thanks for inviting us along!  :campfire:    :archer:

Thank you Margly for sharing with all of us pictures of your backpacking trip.  Norway is certainly a beautiful place and like the others here on Trad Gang I would love to visit sometime.

Make sure to let us know when and if bowhunting is opened up there. I love the idea of "breaking in" bowhunting there.
TGMM-Family of the Bow

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

Thanks for sharing pictures of your trip Margly.  That is truly some breath-taking scenery.  I'd love to see that country one of these days.  I've heard both Norway and Denmark are beautiful.
