Turkey Pic 2 of the day for Thursday May 10th
« on: May 10, 2007, 09:39:00 AM »
Look what strutted up into the backyard last night after dinner.

I couldn't help thinking of the Ferret when I shot these pictures in the backyard last night so I had to post this as a joke for him.  I do really appreciate his pictures of the real thing.  This is a close as I will come to a turkey strutting in my back yard.  I made the fan over the last couple of days from an old fall gobbler tail I had in the freezer.  I fixed a clamp to the stake so the fan can be easily put on and off the stake for transportation.  I also made the fan in two pieces held together with black tie wraps so it folds in half for transportation.  I need to work on getting the fan a little lower in relation to the decoy.  I'm going to add some brown tape to cover up the black duct tape and I hope this guy will get the real deal to strut up between now and the close of the season on Saturday.

LOL I love it. Great idea. I think Primos gets about $75 for their version. What did you do with the flambeuas regular tail?

I just put my fingers in the middle of the tail and pushed it back up inside the decoy.  I guess basically I just turned the tail inside out.  I'm to tight to shell out $75 for one.    ;)    He did his part Friday, unfortunately I didn't do my part.    :(    I posted in this forum under the title Last 2 days of Turkey Season.  Thanks again for the pictures you post, just an unreal setup with the birds strutting in your backyard like that.
