Arrow Length
«

The arrows I just started shooting (Gold Tip Traditionals 3555 full length) are shooting pretty good out of my recurve. My question is...well comment first, they are too long, but if I were to cut 1 inch off the length, would it affect the spine much? I am thinking of just cutting one off to my desired length but wanted to check with the season veterans first to see your experiences. Thanks in advance

Yes it will affect the arrow. Why fix something that isn't broke.
If you want to cut, then you will have to increase your point weight. I guess it's up to you. Alan

Is there a downside to full length arrows?
I was thinking about trying them just for the additional weight.

if they are flying true...then leave it alone..you will stiffen the arrow right up if you take off and inch.... nothing wrong with a longer arrow... you've got more weight .. better stability.... and a arrow thats flying good... sounds like you're ready to kill somethin to me...
