anybody made a quiver out of cordura ?

Hello everyone!

I'm thinking about making a small 4-6 arrow back quiver for broadheads out of some heavy cordura or some ballistic nylon.

Anyone ever try this?
I'm thinking it would be light, tough, and flexible enough to hold the arrows still.

What you all think??

I saw a nice quiver made from the leg material off a pair of Jeans. Had some decorative stiching and fringe. So go for it.........James

No reason to think it wouldn't work.
I'd use 1000dn Cordura rather than the ballistic nylon. The "ballistic" name is sexy but I haven't found it to be any improvement over good Cordura.

If you're going to use it for broadheads, be sure to reinforce the bottom few inches to protect yourself from the head cutting through if you fell.

That ranger quiver that smallwood recommended looks like it would be good cheap alternative to expensive leather quivers, although it is not for use with broadheads.

UHO is shorter than IMHO lol

That quiver up there looks pretty nice.
I don't know how I missed it...???

I thinking of making one quite a bit smaller for just 3-6 arrows. I think 2-layers at the bottom  might be a good idea.

Whump Sez; I have made several from denim and my hunting quiver is made from a leg off a pair of wool army pants. I made the hunting quiver on the plains Indian style and the broadhead cup is made from heavy 3" wide nylon with a v cut in the front for easy broadhead removal. It also has a fletch cover made from wool. It is the lightest and most quiet quiver I have ever used.The plains Indian style makes it easy to remove your arrows as you can slide them back a fraction and then out rather than trying to drag a razor sharp broadhead the length of the cloth.You  need to play it safe with the bottom and either use a leather cup or heavy nylon for safety. I used rubber from a flip flop sandal in the base to keep the heads separate and sharp.   Hunt safe
