black widow selection help
« on: July 19, 2010, 10:55:00 PM »
this bow will be 100% for hunting. I hunt mostly from a treestand and sometimes from a ground blind.

PCH 58"
or
PSA 60"

will the 2" less riser length make that much of a difference in shootability? I have a 62" bow now and I hunt out of a tree saddle about half of the time and it gets to be a little much. This is why I was going for a 58" bow. I draw 29" and these are the recomended lengths for the specific bows at that draw acording to BW.

What say you tradgang?

As someone who has owned both I choose the 60" PSA.  I have a 30" draw and tend to shoot with a vertical bow or a slight cant.  The PCH sight window got in my vision a bit once I got out to 20 yards.  Other than that the 58" PCH performed beautifully at my draw.  I think you really should try both or at least the PCH and make your decision from there...Mike

Do the try before you buy program. If you are sure you want a Widow, then that money will be credited to your bow when you order. I did that before I made my purchase on a 56" PCHx. It's 2 day shipping to you and back with stickers included.

They sent me a brand new, still in the wrapping 56" PCH II. It was fun  :) .
