Ex Pats and other lost boys and girls
« on: July 20, 2010, 11:38:00 AM »
After talking to Mr RobTattoo the other day it occurred to us that there is probley quite a few other English, Australian, New Zealander, South African, Rhodesian, Irish, Scottish and other waifs and strays hanging out here.

So we thought maybe we could get together here first and then maybe a hunt

To introduce myself I`m English born and at 4 weeks immigrated to Rhodesia `til I was 14 or so and at mugabes request we returned to England where I did 10 years in the Royal Navy before leaving and immigrating to Florida. Married to the best little wifely in the word with 3 daughters ( all teenagers, God help me) and a boy that is more like mini me every day.
I operate a grease trap pumping company in St. petersburg fl and recently moved to Marietta ga.Please to meet ya.

Tradgang is a online international hunting camp, but....

An in-person international hunting camp would be just about one of the greatest things since sliced white bread! Can you imagine all the different experience and stories being heard first hand. Facial expressions, hand gestures and voice intonation sure can liven up a story!

Hi Limey Chris,

I lived in London for a year. Does that count?
Any hunt is a good hunt, though. Good luck on your venture!

What we're thinking of putting together is a hog hunt in either Florida or Georgia. Probably public land & hopefully in September (Hopefully for me, anyway!  :D )
If we could get 6 or 7 ex-pats together, I reckon we could have a fantastic time!

For anyone who doesn't know me; I'm 36, I was born & raised in Yorkshire, England. I moved here in April last year with my wonderful, beautiful, patient & tollerant (She might be reading this) wife Jules, 2 dogs & 3 cats. I served a short spell with the British Army until a bit of a 7.62 NATO round got me a cripple pass.

If we can get this figured out, it probably won't be a gung-ho, serious pig-killin' spree. More of a relaxed gathering of soon-to-be friends with hunting thrown in. Time to make a few memories & friends & possibly shoot a piggy.

Sounds like a great time - except the Sept. timeline.  Elk & mulies in Sept. every year here in the west.  But have fun guys & post some pics if the camp works out!

See ya'

Well, the dates have yet to be set. The only reason I suggested September is becauseI'm hunting out West in October  :D

Chris originally suggested October to me & I'd be OK with the back end, whatever it takes to put this togther!
