BD is your motto "if it ain't broke don't fix it!" I think thats great to be hunting with tried and true gear.Way to go   :notworthy:

Replace as needed, I shoot Bear razorheads, not made anymore, so they gotta be old!  :)  My Bob Lee is about 15 years old, but I am in the process of having a new pair of limbs made, more than likley will continue hunting with the old ones though!

Once I find the setup I like I stick with it. Last years broadhead will work just as well as this years and so will my shafts etc. I quit all that constant testing when I left my short try at compound devices and have no intention to go there again. If it ain't broke why do I have to fix it? Frank

The bow will be around 50 years old.  The broadheads likely the same, but haven't completely decided on that yet.  Wood arrows.

Safety related gear is newer - 4 year old stand/harness.

Bought a new blind this spring that fits me and up to a 66" recurve plus a child or two.

Just bought some danner pronghorns and a camelback pack to take elk hunting. Other than that all my gear will be the same old stuff.

Well, this year I'm hunting with a YEW  selfbow...it was given to my inlaws in the mid 60's while workin' on the Alaska pipeline! Arrows and such just get replaced as needed or when I feel like it! Camping gear is about 10 years old....new boots last year.

My main hunting bow is forty years old, an old styleI B riser T/D but  I'm currently using a set of Brandon Stahl's limbs on it, bow quive is around the same age, broadheads are 1964 Razorheads, and I shoot aluminum arrows- some as old as thirty years, some as recent as last year. I'm certainly not opposed to new equipment(like the Stahl limbs)but I really like the feeling of having an old friend with me at crunch time.  GY

Since I am returning to traditional archery almost all of my equipment and accessories are new. I will be using new bow; arrow, quiver, broad heads, glove, etc. this season. I've been "testing" all this stuff since December.

Knowing how I am, I'm likely to change everything but the broadhead and quiver every hunting season.  In fact, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if I don't use at least two different recurves during this coming season.  I'm shooting 3 recurves interchangeably and will add another to the line-up next week when some weight-reduced limbs arrive for my Black Widow PSAIII.

I shoot a 22-target 3-D range I built in the woods out back at least every other day.  I keep track of my effectiveness on this range with the various bows I'm shooting.  All the shots are from 14-25 yards.  In the next couple of days I'll put up a pop-up blind on this course and practice from it because I'm planning to come down from the trees a couple times this coming season.
