Anyone tried the sneaky leaf pin on leaves?
« on: May 12, 2007, 04:53:00 PM »
I put some on some surplus camo I had and it made vast difference. It pins on with safety pins so you can move it around on different garments. Very cool, I'll try to post some pics.

I like using band it straps to attach it to my treestand.  Great stuff!!!!!  I haven't used it on my clothing yet, but I might this year.

I've tried the stuff at hobby lobby but it is kind of stiff and loud. It's ok for tree stands and such if you can find it on sale. Some of those fake plants are as much as the real thing!

I,ve used em & still have several. The more you wash em the softer they get(hand wash or gentle cycle)or they'll come off in the washer.I've also had problems with them pulling off in heavy brush...but overall i like em.....

A buddy of mine uses them with British surplus military camo. He has shot some nice bucks.

I've used sneaky leaves for years.  I like em...however I prefer to sew them on rather than pin on.  I think you can get a better price by going to the local craft/hobby store and buying silk flowers/leaves.

This type a camo is not quite as extreme as a full ghillie suit.  works well

That's what I have mine on. A British chemical protective suit with the charcole cut out. The material it is made out of is almost like rayon but pretty tough. Very thin and light weight.

This is going to be my early season camo. Once I wear test the placement of the leaves, I'll sew them in place and lose the safety pins.

I wonder if the other hobby stuff will get softer after a few washes? I'll be looking for some sales.

Cost of the suit: Free with trip to Kuwait in 91. Cost of the leaves: $20.00? Beats paying $150.00 for one of the commercial ones that will do the same as my new bargain camo.

I put some on my ghillie suit.  They really add to the effect.  I also put some on my back pack.  Good product in my book.

I made my own 10 years ago, also use yarn tied in with it.  It is very effective as it blows in the breeze slightly and you can really blend it.  I wash my gear with it on now and it is effective.

Those Brit Chem suits are pretty cheap. Maybe $25.00 on Eb*y. I really like the pattern. It looks like a mixture of some of the best commercial ones. If you like the charcoal for scent control, just leave it in. Be ready to sweat though.
