First off...welcome. Second Columbia is a HOT place to live. Maurice's BBQ is nearby. Sweatman's BBQ is on the way to Charleston...stop there. They use mustard based sauce. Hog hunting has been opened up in three WMA locations in the low country...DNR has the state broken up into game zones...

go see this guy about local clubs....

For firearms and places to shoot....check out carolinashootersforum.com and go to a local friends of the NRA banquet or join South Carolina Gun Owners. Lots of conservatives in the state, lots of people go to church every Sunday. Goodluck with the move.

If you are up around Oconee county shoot me a PM.

I am on the west side of Columbia in the Irmo/Chapin area. What side of town are you going to be in?

Here's a few...   http://www.sc-archery.com/

Last I heard, Jeffery is/will open an indoor range, and there was talk of leagues...

If this link works, this is the closest club I'm aware of to Columbia (Little Mountain Bowhunters)  http://palmetto-archery.com/lm/

Have heard of a real nice gun club/range on Fish Hatchery Road.
