Bear Grizzly serial #
« on: July 31, 2010, 11:04:00 PM »
I have a Bear Grizzly with a B embossed after the serial # ... does anyone know what that means. Serial # is KR 33704, it's a 56" 65#'r and I think was made in 1970.

Many thanks, ken

Serial number doesn't tell much on the Bears with exception of '65-'69 when the first didget was the year. The '70's+ started with K. The early - mid 70's Grizzlies are really hard to tell the difference.
If you can post pictures on the history/collectors forum you might find some help there.

Thanks Joe ... I found in TBM that the 56" was made in 69-70 and since the serial # starts with a K I assume it's a 1970 ... the embossed B after the serial # is still a mystery.

Best to ya this hunting season !
