North Carolina in Oct.

I just found out that we may be going to visit my sister in law in October. She lives around Cary, NC. Unfortunately that is also during our bow season here at home. Are there any worthwhile hunting opportunities in the area? I'd probably only have a day free. State game lands, etc.? If not does anyone know of any 3D ranges that are traditional friendly?

There is Harris gamelands and Jordan gamelands, both within 25 minutes of Cary. Both have good deer numbers. Just have to deal with gun hunters during October. I would make sure you hunt out of a tree stand while on the gamelands.
Falls Lake gamelands is about 45 min, good deer numbers there as well.
PM me and I can give you some additional infomation if needed. I've hunted both Harris and Jordan gamelands over the years.

Thanks. I'll look into those areas and pm you if I have questions. I was afraid I might be dealing with gun season.

If you decide to go to Falls game lands check out the bow only areas to keep away from gun hunters.
