Just got my hide back from the Taxidermist. I'm thinking back quiver, anyone have any other ideas.

Box it up and ship it to me.  There is a great idea.  Actually I would hang it on the wall above your favorite chair.

They make great throws for chairs. On a cold winter day you can sit out in the sun with one and its like sitting in a microwave..lol I loved the one I had.. so why did I trade it off???

I just hate it when I get hit by the trading bug. On those occasions I'd trade for a brush pile if someone would furnish the matches to burn it with.

God bless,Mudd

I'd hang it on the wall too.  I think they look great that way, or you could put backing on it & make a rug out of it.

I'd hang it on the wall too!  Bet there is a great story to tell about it and would make a great conversation piece.

I agree with Mudd, I've got my first one just tanned and hanging around the living room.  Cold winter day use it over your lap and you will realize how bears can sleep the winter away all toasty warm.

It depends if you have others or not. I wouldn't cut it up if it is the only one you have. Wait to have another before doing anything drastic to this one.

I have the hide of the bear I'm most proud of just hanging from a single nail on the wall. It didn't have a great enough hide to make a rug out of but it looks great where it is.

That hide has good hair all over.I tend to agree.I would hang that one.If it were very small or badly rubbed,I would use that for a quiver or projects. You can always buy bear scraps or later you may take a bear like that. That's a nice hide you have.

It sure is nice.  I think you should do exactly what YOU want.  If you want a quiver more than a show piece, make a quiver.  If you have a quiver, you can take that bear one lots and lots of hunting trips.

Earl Did you shoot that with your Big River or BP?

Either way you should give yourself  a great big bear Hug and I agree with John, "I think you should do exactly what YOU want"
Relax,
