Look at stickflingers here in Manitoba. I belive Ryan is a trad only bear outfitter, and he is also a trad gang sponser, and one of the best black bear / Whitetail hunters I know.
Good Luck

Check with Tom Phillips about Bear Quest V. Tom is a member here and if you do a search for Bear Quest, you will still be reading next week.

Tossing around a DIY bear hunt myself. Haven't done one in Canada since Ontario banned spring hunting. Nothing definate yet, still in the "thinking about it" stage.

Can't tell you what an outfitter cost as I've always done it myself. Licenses used to be pretty cheap - maybe a $100 or so, haven't looked lately. On top of that is the cost of camping/cabin, gasoline, food, etc.

I'm going up to Ron Henry's next June. We've got our camp full already with 5 of us here from VT. It's my first bear over bait hunt.

Hi Joseph! I cater largely towards Trad. guys but do however accept all bowhunters. Looks like 3 of the 4 weeks in 2011 are going to be Trad. weeks. You'll have to take budget into consideration as most hunts in the prairie provinces and western Canada are more expensive than those out east. Either way, a camp full of stickbow guys chasing bears will be fun....and likely successful. I've heard good things about all outfits mentioned above...best of luck....Ryan
