Platform Ideas.Guidos,TreeSaddle,etc.
« on: August 07, 2010, 10:41:00 AM »
Sometime guys ask me what i use for platform when i'm hanging from my TreeStand Sling...aka Guido's Web....here's my current set up with the Old Jim Stepp -SteppLadders...i modified from a 3point to a much sturdier 4pt. step.. these rascal are rock solid. I only use Cranfords screw in steps called EZ Steps....anyhoo..be interested in some of the other tree trunk hangers systems...Boswell got my attention on the rachet/steps .....thanks

Joebuck,
Where can I get some of those stepp ladders?
Those are SWEET. That would be great to use.
Thanks

The, " BatPlat ", I like that joebuck ! Nice looking work batman. Post some pics at ground level once you get it all set up in your Guido's Web taking a shot to both the left and right so we can see how this looks and works ?

Anyone ever tried to weld a small platform to a stepp ladder step?  Seems like that would be a great platform?

Ratchet strap with five or six steps for me.  I bought a box of the steps and keep three or four sets of straps handy.  Personally, it works great for me.

DaveT, I have thought of just that. I have 3 sets of climbing ladders that I think it would work good on. I always wait till it's 100 degrees to do any welding. It's only mid 90's here. lol. If I get around to it, i'll send you a pic. Need to get of my butt and get in the woods and do a bit of preparation for the season.
