Fix a Sookum two arrow quiver

I need some help, my sookum broadhead cover tore off of the rubber limb wrap.  The rubber has a hole where the cover was attached, and I don't have any way to rivet on a new piece of rubber. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Not exactly sure what you mean about the problem but perhaps a Zip Tie would do the trick?

Did the rivet pull through the rubber part or the leather side? Maybe this would help give people ideas.

Not sure what the warranty is. Have you contacted AK Archery?

Just looked at mine. That's gonna be a tricky fix. You might try a shoe repair shop. The fix might cost about as much as a new quiver. ???

You could take it apart, fix it and re-sew it.

Like C-R said, a zip tie might do it. Cut a slot at top and bottom of the rubber and put 1 or 2 zip ties through it.

The rivet pulled through the rubber. I was able to get the camera working here are a couple of pictures.

I too,think I wouls call AK Bowhunting Supply first.I believe you would have to pull the stithing first,in order to put a new rivet in.

I also think you would need either a new rubber strap or back up the rivet with a small washer,because of the enlarged hole.

would a flat top bolt and a washer with a nut then some rubber tape wraped eround it work

Wow, I just checked mine and everything seems to be in order.  I love this quiver, use it all the time.  Like others, I would contact AK Bowhunting Supply and see about warrenty or just order a new one.  Every time I've contacted them they have been super to deal with.  I really can't see an easy way to repair that I would trust.  Good luck.

go to napa and see if they have any "C" clips that will work on the rivit that are stiff enough. if there's enough room, a washer with a C clip would be the ticket, probably have to grind some flats on the washer and dremel out the area on the mount a bit. cut out a piece of inner tube to cover if it looks like it'll work, glue it on and keep on truckin.......or buy a new one

Right now $15 might be a lot of money to a lot of people.

Cut the rivet off, go to a gunshop and buy a $1 chicago screw, this is a flat, wide head, double headed male/female brass screw that goes thru holes in rifle slings and screws together.

Thanks for all the comments, they are $29.99 plus shipping and since I have oinly had it for a couple of years I know it still has a lot of use left. I have sent AKBowhunting an email to see what they say. I like Koger's idea I might try that. Thanks again for all of these advice, keep it coming.

I didn't think of the Chicago screw.I should have as I use them a lot.I think that would be a good fix.It is a good idea to loctite them so they don't unscrew.You could use that with a small,thin washer if you had to but the Chicago screw head may be wide enough.A good hardware store should have some,if not a leather store.If you can't find any,holler,I may have some.Really a great idea.

CHICAGO SCREW!! That's what I was thinking of but didn't know what they were called. May need a larger washer for the rubber side.

I had that problem with one I bought. I gave it a good hard look and made my own out of leather instead of the rubber strap.  I used rivets instead of stitching for all of it.  Works great.

WOW, I just happened to come across my receipt from around two years back while cleaning out some paperwork - I'd like to know what justified that cost increase..... glad I got two at the time....
