Well I found a glove that fits ok. very very close to perfect. Though it could use a mod, I'd like to add some overlays cordovan perferably. Should I purchase a sewing awl from tandy for this?
I've also gave this some thought..ordering a knowingly large glove (being the correct size seems to only fit a couple fingers of the 3), and trying to sew them a little tighter. Anyone try it? Or would adding leather to the inside be a better route? And if so would you glue it in or sew it in?
I dont think this glove is going to hold up for any length of timein it's current state (new) before it gets grooved to bad to use without overlays.
I prefer a hill style glove, they seem to fit nice but I can never get one to fit all 3 fingers. The large I have is to small on two fingers and no amount of wetting and stretching seems to have changed this. It's useable however if you have the string in the groove on your finger, the string contacts the last 1/8" of the glove and wants to rip it off, just not enough finger in the glove. I've had this problem with many gloves over the years.
Anyone else mod any gloves to get that perfect fit?
and no a superglove doesnt fit either lol. I just picked one up from Eds place last weekend, my buddy is gonna be happy if he ever answers the phone, should fit him nicely.
