my bow says 55 at 28 I draw 27 i ended up shooting 29" cx 350's i know this sounds like to much spine but they flew by far the best any way the other day for giggles i put my bow on a scale with a measured arrow pulled down to 27 much to my surprize my custome made recurve is 64 lbs! well i just fletched some new arrows all white feathers with a white wrap my side plate is black velcro i shot for the first time today and noticed alot of ware on the side plate and long black marks on my white wraps sure sign im hitting my side plate hard but my arrows are flying really well do i worry about this issue? am i way off on arrow selection? thanx for the advice and thoughts

Like John said and he would know, the black mark indicates stiff in spine. John helped me out over several phone calls when I got started. Thanks John - I hope life is kind to you.
I shoot .400 spine shafts 29 3/8" long with a 250 gr. point in an aluminum insert out of my 58# long bow. Each bow will be different due to where the shelf is cut and your release. Try the .150s that you now have with more head weight until you tune. That is my thoughts and do some bare shafts.
