I don't know who's idea it was but it is not legal for a person to kill a snake in AR sooo... I just happened onto a Velvet tail rattler that committed suicide yesterday
and thought about my boys bow. I skinned him and he was big enough to do both limbs. I read on other threads about using TBIII to glue on the skins to glue to the limbs, then pull the scales off of them with duct tape when dry and then cover with tru oil to seal them up.
My question is, does the snake keep its color and pattern when you pull the scales off? Also, what grit sand paper do you need to use to rough the limbs up for glueing?
Thanks and God Bless,
John
