Whats the difference between the big shot gloves

Whats the difference between the buffalo or elk hide?? Both seem to be great gloves.

The buffalo is supposed to be more durable, "better" leather. From what Ive seen of it, I like the elk hide much better. 20.00-25.00 dollars less too.

As Yankee said, the difference is about $25.  Most of the wear on the glove is on the nylon that's sewn to the finger stalls.  Don't think it makes much difference whether it's elk or buffalo leather underneath.  They're both quite durable.  Texture/color is a little different, if that turns your crank.

I have been shooting the Elk hide Big Shot for a couple of years now. I haven't noticed any durability issues with it. No need to spend another $20.00 for the Buffalo hide glove.

I have the buffalo and love the glove. My only problem is that after a dozen shots, I look like I have been slapped in the face with a catfish. I have a real skinned place just under my eye.

I have both and I like the buffalo better,One of the fingertips became frayed and I sent it back to be repaired and they replaced the glove no charge

To me there is a slightly different feel between the two... the buffalo feels softer "to me".

I should add that the tips of the Elk glove are a little shorter than on the buffalo, but that could be an "evolution" thing.

Charlie,
I have 2 Elk Bigshot gloves. I just bought a new one last July, and the finger tips are longer than my original glove. I do believe they changed the glove.

Bill,

Thanks for the information...kinda thought it was an evolution thing and looks like I was right.

Great gloves and probably makes no difference what the glove is made from.
