Shot recurves when I was really young, 4-5 till I was 12 - 13.  Dad bought me a wheelbow when I started hunting (Minnesota min age to hunt was 14 at that time), even though he hunted year in and year out with his Bear 76'er...

The but tradbows were still in me though, and I bought and sold several different recurves and picked up a Bear Hunter T/D... Bowfished with it and stump shot with it and would take it hunting from time to time.  Took several deer with it, and lots of small game, but I wouldn't call that my full switch to traditional bow hunting... more of a part time trad bowhunter.

2000 was the year I switched to all traditional bows for my bowhunting...  Can't say I haven't shot a wheelbow since then, but I can say I haven't hunted with one.

Started with a recurve in the late 60's. I was hunting small game in the early 70's. Killed my first deer with a recurve in 81. I guess it took me 30 years for my first bow kill and that was 29 years ago.
