I wear tan Oakley spec ops boots. They feel like a good pair of running shoes. The sole design is good for all surfaces and the flex in the boot sole is so good you can go all day. Stable but enough flex and quiet I keep sneaking up on myself. Seriously I was at a shoot a couple weeks ago and at 265# I don't weigh 210# like I did back in the Corps, anyway I had the guy in my group yell out twice during the day as we were recording scores and I was right behind him he never heard me.He even made a comment about being so quiet.

I don't ever think I am having any fun until my feet are wet. If I was not such a wimp, I would go bare foot on warm days.

I second the Danner Jackal. I love the Pronghorn boots too but for the warmer weather, Jackal.

Bow season opens here in 10 days, it'll be hot and the first deer will be shot with me wearing shorts a T shirt and flip flops, traditional old school flip flops of course... and a footed wood arrow.
Lefties are the only ones who hold the bow in the right hand.

Out West, I find that Meindl boots give me the most comfort for the most miles. The "Perfekt Hikers" are the most versatile for me.

We need to get on LaCrosse and bring these back. I just found them and they're discontinued. Look perfect for early season stalking:
